I've never done that recipe with the mustard. I always do the Italian dressing and then put on crushed red pepper. It's awesome on the barbecue.

Spicy though?

Yeppers! We love spice for flavor, not so much for the heat. I routinely eat habanero sauce because I love the flavor but it is hotter than what I would like. When I did sushi, I made "hulk sauce" out of the wasabi and soy. It was strong and green. What else could I call it!

I would cook 2-3 pounds of chicken breast for about 8 hours in the slow cooker with spices. When it's done, shred it and pack it into a sealable container (for food safety), and then make 1 or 2 sauces separately so that I could add a specific appropriate amount to the chicken for my serving of food.

I usually make a homemade chipotle barbeque sauce and a thai peanut sauce to go with.

I opted to this, but with pork. I need to find a good spice rub/recipe for the pork so I can leave the BBQ sauce off to the side!

How about a taco dip?

seasoned ground beef on the bottom

mix 1 brick of cream cheese with either sour cream or greek yogurt and spread on top of ground beef

top with green onions, peppers, tomatos if you like, then some shredded cheese.

Serve with tortillas for the non WLS and cucumber slices, celery or pork rinds. I've also dished my serving into a romaine lettuce leaf boat.

Super yum, and protein forward.

I'm stealing this for book club on Sunday, lol. I had forgotten about Taco Dip! I haven't had it in forever. I wonder if I could do it with seasoned chicken on the bottom instead?

How about Buffalo chicken dip? You can eat just the dip, without any crackers.

In your crockpot, add some chicken (breasts or thighs), a block of cream cheese, and a packet of powdered ranch dressing. Let it cook overnight, then shred the chicken. Add some hot sauce before serving.
