Just had my first mammogram post surgery. Wow, was it ever easy and painless! Saggy as they might be , they are sure a lot less painful.. sorry for the TMI . Anyone else find this to be true?

I love that I only have to have ONE mammo each side now...Used to have 2-3, each side, to catch all the fat/volume

I have to share this funny (sorta) story. In 2016, went for my first mammogram after 100 lb. weight loss. Dr. found a spot. I was sent to a specialist who took a second look. She said, it's probably nothing but come back for mammogram #3 in 4 months.

Went back 3 months later, spot is bigger. Couple more images. I was told to sit in the waiting area. About 10 minutes later, the nurse asks me, "Did you lose a lot of weight?" Yes, 100 pounds. She goes to tell the doctor.

"Did you lose 100 pounds on purpose?"

Yes, I had weight loss surgery.

The doctor calls me in with a sigh of relief--thank goodness you lost the weight on purpose--your breasts are fine!

I got as lax on mammos as I did on vitamins until they found a lump. Please do it

So much easier. Still painful. In and out so much faster.

yes, I have found they are easier. I insist on doing one yearly as I have lost a couple of friends to breast cancer. So far I am fine. Yep, saggy flatter breast seem to tolerate the squishing more easily. Another advantage to wls. Diane S
