PT follow up - after 6 weeks of regular exercise

Because the only exercise I was doing was walking a few miles every second day my test during my Feb f/u appointment I was losing 1.5 pounds of muscle for every 1.8 pounds of fat. Six weeks ago I started alternating walking 3k and rowing for 20 minutes with going to a one hour tri fit class. Two weeks ago we got a new pool heater and I added swimming laps. I'm up to 30 laps a day.

At my PT appointment today tests showed that I am burning 2.1 pounds of fat for every pound of muscle!

Also... I weighed 199.9 lbs on their scale... I still weigh 202 at home...

that is fantastic! I have my dexa scan coming up in a month so I will find out my muscle/fat loss ratio then and see what adjustments I need to make.

My starting BMI was 47.9, now it's 33.4!

I guess I need some education on PT and DEXA scans. How does one get into these measurements? I have received no information on these things from my WLS team or dietician.

just google dexa scans for your area. that is what I did and it gave me a few choices in my area.
