Maybe you can run a one person anecdotal study for us here at OH? it would be interesting to see if you see results while slathering on sunscreen.

I took 5000 for years and it never did anything either, I was still in the single digits. Cant sit in the sun I had Thyroid Cancer and sun is not good for me.

Going to try a 50,000 once a week pill today, going to my doctor today and I hope it helps me feel better.

Thanks...

I take 50,000 daily and still am pm the low end of normal. You may have to take it every day also.

I've been taking D for years, under doctor's orders. I was diagnosed with a severe deficiency in 2010. A blood test will show if you're short on any vitamins. Contact your PCP.

Feel Better.

Keep on losing!

In 2000 I was 18 years old and had to start walking with a cane because my knees were in such tremendous pain. I was heavy at the time but no where near the level I am at now but still could hardly walk. I had every test known to man including an exploratory surgery on my right knee and no-one could find out what was happening.

Fast forward 7 years and during a test to see if my knee pain was Lupus, a Dr finally checked my vit D. It was so low that it hardly registered (I think it was a 2). Turns out it was not only the reason for my joint pain, but also the reason I had low Calcium (I had 2 teeth crumble when I was a teenager due to lack of calcium) Since then I take 10000 IUS daily and most of my bone pain has resolved.

All of that to say Vit D deficiency is crazy scary, BUT symptoms are different with everyone and Drs don't necessarily think of it first when you list your symptoms. The only way to know is to get your blood tested.
