So close to Onederland!
CATHY--you are rocking this new lifestyle, girl !!! You will reach those goals, in NO time...just keep on doing what you are DOING !! I understand the impatience-we all do...
Did you find changing to Keto very challenging? How long was your transition?
I ran into one of my nephews, yesterday, and thought of YOU, and YOUR nephew...so funny how we all become so much a part of each others' MINDS :)

We Can Do Hard Things
Thank you so much, Gina!! And no, I didn't have a bit of trouble switching over to Keto. Post-op food plan was high protein, low carb, low fat. So I just switched to high fat, medium protein, low carb. I wasn't eating many carbs anyway cuz I had been at 600 cals for so long and the protein took up most of that. By switching over, I upped to 800 cals, but was able to add the fats. I literally just decided one day, upped the calories, and went on from there. I do go contrary to keto rules by counting calories still, but once I reach my initial goal, then I'll stop worrying about them and see what happens
I find I am so much more satisfied with what I eat now. I keep my net carbs under 25/day, but it's enough for me to have zucchini, cauliflower, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and celery when and if I want it. Most of the time I'm too full to bother lol. I get to have avocado whenever I want, and no longer have to feel guilty about "how fattening it is" like I did my whole "low fat" life LOL.
I love me some avocado!!!
And that's too funny about your nephew! I know what you mean, and I agree you do feel like people here are part of your daily life!
As a matter of fact, I had been on it a couple of weeks when I went to my 6-month follow up. He was 100% on board with the idea. Now, I don't know how he would have felt if it had been at 2 or 3 months, that I'll never know. But I think he figured at 6 months, it it's working for me then that is fine with him.
