They are put on daily or monthly? Why does your center not like them?

thanks for all the info.

They are put on daily and they are no****erproof. You shouldn't use lotions, creams or oils where you apply them. You should move them to different locations for each application.

Cleveland Clinic states that they've had multiple issues of deficiencies (who knows if that's true and/or if it's the patches or compliance...) due to their use and contends that they are unproven and unpredictable from patient to patient. They will concede if you are vitamin deficient and unable to tolerate oral pills that they may have some use (which is why I did try the iron patch) -- and insist that you recheck your serum vitamins levels at regular intervals (preferably every 3 months) while using such patches.

I only used them for a month. I evidentally over-absorb. My surgeon told me to stop using them and recommended the OPurity pills from Unjury.

I will have to investigate those vitamins when I use up the ones I have. I just use ones from the pharmacy.. not sure as good as ones you mentioned.

I have used the PatchMD vitamins for a year. I use Multivitamin Plus, Vitamin C Plus, Iron Plus, and Vitamin D3 / Calcium. I put the four patches on each night before bed (on my shoulders) and take them off in the morning. I get a B12 shot monthly and decided to stick with that. When I got my labs done at 9 months I was low in vit D, vit C and vit A. I still use the patches but supplement with oral D, C and A. My 1 year is next week and I'll re-evaluate then. I prefer them as they are easy for me and some of the oral vits were upsetting the pouch.

My centre doesn't advocate for them but support my decision to try them and we will carefully watch.

Good luck

Thanks!! You just answered the question I asked Kat... put on daily. I will see how mine are in July and decide too. Recently switched to a bit higher iron so see if my Feratin higher then last year. Mine has always been low or better but still low.

You posted the question to me, and I apologize for not responding right away, but I was doing a variety of other things this weekend. My surgeon used me as his test subject for the patch. I was on it for three months: The multi, the calcium/d3 and the iron. All my labs went up. When I was at his office, he emailed to his staff allowing them to start recommending patches as an option for his patients. You order them online at patchmd.com. If you have other questions that others have not answered, please let me know.

Thanks! I thought maybe an answered post with the code given to you and possibly not be seen so decided to start my own post.

Thanks for all the information. It sounds like they worked well for you and something for me to consider.

Calcium and iron taken together will impact absorption of both so it's usually recommended to supplement them at different times.
