Vitamin patch questions
on 5/22/17 5:01 am, edited 5/23/17 11:16 am
my physician assistant that I see when I go to my yearly appt has never mentioned the vitamin patch that I have read about on this site. I will be going back in July for my yearly appt and will ask. Is this new?? Someone posted looking for a code to buy online I think? Would I get through my Baratric Center or just on my own online? I am pretty faithful with my vitamins I buy in the pharmacy but my numbers do go up and down (Calcium and Feratin) and wondering if a better option. Does the patch absorb better is it all the vitamins or you still need the iron separately?
I posted this question under person who posted about code but no response decided better to start my own post maybe! Might have gone missed since topic was over
Thanks
You can buy them on your own. I used for a while, and while my levels werent bad, they werent as high as they could be and I was feeling pretty rough as far as always tired. I went back to my oral vitamins and feel fine again
I no longer use the patches. Dont know if it was because of patches or not, but just what I decided to do

They have been around for a few years. They work for some people and not for others. You would probably start with four patches:
- Multi-vitamin patch
- Vitamin D and calcium
- Iron
- B12
With shipping your monthly cost would be about $100, so having discount codes can bring the cost down significantly.
Talk to your center for their recommendation.

They work for some and not for others. You would have to use your lab results to be certain.
For me, I am less compliant with the patches. I tend to forget them more easily --
However, since I have a lot of trouble absorbing iron orally (I actually need to have infusions periodically) -- I have found that the iron patches are far better for me.
My center (Cleveland Clinic) strongly recommends against them, however.
