Your ticker says you have reached your goal weight, so congratulations on that and good luck on your journey on trying to lose more.

I ignore many of the features you have issues with on MFP. I like it because the database is the most extensive I have found, particularly for when I eat out with my family. It takes me very little time to track things with MFP, which I used long before I started the bariatric process.

To each his own. Stick with what works for you.

Keep on losing!

NICE! I'm glad it works for you! How did you get it to adjust to what you wanted your caloric intake to be? I wouldn't to be able to just ignore it telling me i can still have more cals every day. I know that if left unchecked, I would gladly eat those 1700 cals its telling me to eat and that would definitely be a problem lol which is why we're ALL here on this site, right? lol

I just ignore it. (I'm not trying to be snarky - I never look at the third number, just the first two - amount budgeted, amount consumed). I've trained myself. My daily calorie budget right now is 1,000. Tonight I will go to my fencing club and fence for about 2 - 2.5 hours. That will burn between 1,000 and 1,200 calories depending on how my workout goes. I will just ignore all those calories. Even now, I cannot "complete" a day because I am usually under 1000 calories. I just ignore it. As I said, for me the database makes all the difference -- I'm not guessing or looking for things. I can go meet with a client at Panera or Corner bakery and be able to log what I ate without difficulty, which to me, offsets the downside. I would think if you upgraded to premium, you would have more flexibility, but I've been using MFP for about 3.5 years and never even thought of upgrading to premium.

But if Calorie King is working for you, then stick with it. The key is to track every bite you eat and be honest about it.

Keep on losing!

On my phone app with MFP I am able to adjust the settings under "goals". I have adjusted the caloric intake and set the macronutrients to where I want. I guess I've never set a goal less that 1200 calories per day as of yet. You have given me something to think about for the future though. For after my surgery. If MFP can't go low enough then I will need to find something else. I really rely on the fitness tracker to keep me in line with nutrition. And I use my FitBit for tracking movement. I am able to link the two together as well. So my steps show up on MFP and my nutrition shows up on the FitBit site. I know the FitBit app has a nutrition tracker too but I have been on MFP for years and am used to it. Back when I was on Medifast I couldn't get enough calories in to satisfy the nutrition tracker on MFP so I just added my own setting of "empty calories 500 cal" and when I was under I just added that in the day.

You can set whatever calorie goal you want in mfp. The only thing you can't do is "complete" which is not necessary because all that does is give you a useless weight loss prediction.
