NSV - Gardening, back and knees
Today I planted all my planters on the back deck and it was easy and painless. Before surgery I had to sit on something to garden and would still have a very painful back before I was done. AND for the first time in a long time I felt a twinge in my knee WHILE I was carrying some extremely heavy pots (probably weighed less than the fat I used to carry). Once done carrying the pots my knee was fine!

That's great Liz!
I was carrying a 40 pound bag of topsoil the other day, and thought about how it was a TINY fraction of what I used to haul around in fat. All day, every day.

DH keeps wanting to carry things for me and I have to remind him (and me) that they are much lighter than the previous fat I carried around!

Right there with you Liz! I used to have this "seat" thing my Mom bought me from a gardening store I used to sit on when planing flowers, I mean who "sits" to plant flowers. Because there was no way I was going to get down on the ground to plant flowers as I would never get back up!! And I second your sore back & knees, now no pain!
Yay for getting back in the garden again, good for you!!!
