Confess - just how old/out of style are those skinny clothes?
Au_Contraire, below (in no particular order) are a very few of my favorite fashion blogs frequented by women of a certain age:

Admittedly, some of the blogs I follow are out of affection for the compatibility I feel for the writers. And needless to say, all topics they write about are NOT about fashion, but also travel, generational issues, and occasionally politics.
I also follow some of the basic fashion blogs, including netaporter and vogue, and those written by and for younger women, e.g., http://www.manrepeller.com/, which I truly adore!
Although Pinterest and Instagram are getting pretty muddled these days, those are also good sources for interesting people to follow.
Sometimes I'll find a blog written by someone whose look I like, but soon discover their look isn't "saying" what I want my own look to say. Those are useful blogs, too, since I didn't have to buy anything before realizing it wasn't right for me.
Please don't get the idea I think anyone should be this much into fashion / style / clothes. Everyone should do what THEY want/need to do. In my case, I've just loved exploring this part of everyday life, an area I didn't feel empowered to do when I was 100 pounds heavier.

Thank you so much, Ann! I will enjoy exploring all of these! I have always loved beautiful clothes, but over the past 7-8 years I have been very heavy, and simply nothing looks good on me. I look so forward to enjoying the skirts, sweaters, dresses, boots and heels in my closet again (most of which are quite classic and should still look good style-wise), let alone the sheer pleasure of purchasing lovely new clothes! Thanks again for sharing these links!
My pleasure. And if you find any blogs you particularly like, please post them here -- or private-message me. :)

I wore all sorts of things that were questionable. I graduated in '82, so we wore all those tight jeans with shirts with shoulderpads and slide heels. Oh my goodness, when I look at my pictures from then, I'm shocked at how small I truly was (I was convinced I was huge!) and how truly tacky I looked. And the hair!!! It was HUGE! I'm sure I used a can of Aquanet every day to get it that big! I started gaining weight in my 20's, after my oldest two were born. I lost everything I ownened in a fire in the early 90's, so I don't have any clothes left from my high school years. By that time I was too big to wear them anyway. My clothing style turned into what I could hide my fat in the most--lots of dark, monochrome colors that "hid" my weight gain. I'm looking forward to wearing pretty clothes again!
I recently went through 14 boxes of clothes (yes, 14 - when nothing fits you in Japan, you have to hold onto everything, just in case, since there is absolutely nothing to buy here). I threw out 3 garbage bags of cast-off clothes that were too stained or busted up for anyone to wear. I'm now down to 6 boxes that I need to sell, give away, or donate (hopefully soon). One of those boxes is full of clothes I've never worn (tags are still on them). The rest of the clothes that went into my closets are what fits, or will fit within a month or so. My closets are busting, but I know I'll have more room soon enough since there are already some pants and shirts that are getting to be too big for me. I've only really gained massive amounts of weight in the last 8 years, so the fashion is not that bad, but I doubt I'll be wearing the see-through tops that were popular back then, as they don't seem quite as appropriate now. However, my really skinny clothes (size 12 and under) are back home, and I'm sure I'll find quite a number of "classics" like skinny acid-washed jeans and the like (I was an 80s child/teen). I was never a fan of shoulder pads, even when they were fashionable (I always cut them out), so I don't have to worry about that too much.
LMAO!!!! Too funny. The last time I was this thin was in 1992 and all I could do now was wear those clothes to a Halloween Party and I took a Boom Box and played 80s Ladies by KT Olsen. I won prize for Most Creative.
