Confess - just how old/out of style are those skinny clothes?

CATHY- I graduated in 1975. From looking at pics in my Senior yearbook, we were wearing Red Snap jeans (one snap, in the front-jeans came in all kinds of horrible colors), and MATERNITY looking smock-tops, that we ever-so-proudly made, with our own hands...

All looked quite snazzy...with the "Sun-In", that turned our hair an awful shade of Bozo Red...

*ETA:

Here's a good example. This is one of the clubs, I was in. Front row. My bestie, and I, both sporting our "Preggo Shirts"

OMG lol yep, I had shirts just like that. I graduated in 1977, senior pics, I was wearing a top similar to those, with high-waisted wide bell bottoms. Lawd! I believe I was squeezing into size 13 in juniors, and was considered the "fattest" girl in class...wow.

LOL - I was just thinking about Sun-In the other day! "Sun-In....and sunlight, and you'll be blonder to-niiiight. Sun-in!". Blonder - yea, right. More like brassy red.

We were still frying out hair with Sun-In in the 80s, our moms wouldn't let us get highlights so we bought Sun-In from Walgreens with out allowance and baked ourselves in the sun by the pool.

Just ended up with fried hair.

Good times.

As a retired hairdresser, we ALL wish they would take that stuff off the market!

That's funny! I was in High School in the 70's and I while I was not obese, I was curvier and all the rage was the skinny hip hugger bell bottoms. I would buy a pair in a MINUTE now if i could!

I'm finally back into most of my "skinny" clothes - YEAH! It was probably around 2008 when I outgrew them and I had only had them for about a year. I lost a lot of weight from 2006-2007 but didn't keep it off for very long. I've never been a trend setter/follower, so I think most of them are still pretty much in style and if they aren't, I really don't care. As for age appropriate, I was in my late 40's then so already "old" by a lot of folks standards.
