NSV ... was told I look sloppy
Ok, so she didn't say it quite like that.
I volunteer as a medic for a roller derby league, and when I started last year I needed a 3x shirt. Tonight we had one of our skaters go down with what is likely a broken leg, so I ended up on the rink for quite a while tonight waiting for the ambulance and splinting the leg.
Anyway, one of the lead medics cornered me later and asked me what size I wear now. I'm under orders to bring my current shirt to the next bout and trade it for one that fits.
I had to laugh and pull the tent of a shirt away from me on both sides and say "what, is this just too much??" LOL. She's super happy for me, she's a nurse practitioner and knows some of my health struggles and how good the surgery has been for me... but apparently I'm not allowed to walk around in a shirt that looks like a dress that's way too big at derby. LOL.

I am quickly getting too thin for jeans I ordered in the winter. I am not buying anymore for now. I just told my husband he is going to have to get used to me looking a little sloppy on the weekends..I have bought dress clothes for work of course, but no more casual clothes for now. Just going to have ti wear baggy ones for the summer. Fortunately, I am a swimmer/ beach gal and will wear a skirted swim suit as the weather allows( on weekends).. I have like 5 of those!
Yeah, I look like a total slob at home. Leggings and my 3x geek t-shirts that I haven't re-modeled yet. :) But I have to stay respectable looking at work, so I've bought a few basics as I've lost. I'm due again soon. :)

That was one of them there compliments in awkward terms, huh?
In a serious vein, might a huge, floppy shirt present some danger if it's flapping around while you're working on an injured person and it shirt gets tangled in equipment? [Worse, a skater whizzing by might roll over the fabric and drag you along. Not really.]
Nah, I'm just providing basic first aid, nothing fancy, and no equipment to speak of. And all skating is halted when the medics are on the rink and until at least one of us is freed up from patient care to be watching the bout again. It's not a safety issue. I look like I'm in clothing borrowed from a pro football lineman. She seriously was being very sweet about it. I just thought it was hilarious. :D Because I have a twisted sense of humor. LOL.
