Strange neurological symptoms almost 1 year post-op.

My experience has been that I am not fine on some of my vitamins even when they are in theory 'normal' Have had low B-12 symptoms, low potassium symptoms, low magnesium symptoms and Low Thiamine symptoms, even when they were technically normal on my labs. Something to consider if some of your vitamins are on the low normal side. I know you said you are a physician, and I know in theory what I am saying doesn't make sense...but I have seen others post this as well...something about the nature of WLS I guess....

Me too! The iron in the two adult multi's I take aren't enough for me. I need to add a carbonyl iron every other day.

Also, the poster should be aware that levels can change over time. You can have normal levels one month and be low 6 months later. Got to keep on top of the vitamins.

Has the OP considered mini seizures?

omg. I cut my pinky finger half off in a kitchen accident (after my cat died and my issues with my husband). Since I severed the ulnar nerve, and both tendons, I had to have hand surgery and was splinted for about 2 months (fingers and hand unusable). I have NOW just gotten out of the spint and told to carefully start using that hand and finger. I have been cleared to attempt some light typing.

It is weird because I don't feel it when I push the keys with that finger (due to severing that nerve).

But I am on the mend. On leave without pay and not allowed to excerise (should I trip and fall on my hand). So I have gained about 7 lbs just sitting around and doing lots of nothing. I can hardly wait till I can run and walk again!!!

I will see you later!

What? You're a physician, and you come on OH asking US to help diagnose a medical problem? Wow.

Yeah, "I don't think B6 has been tested yet" and "no numbers on the potassium" was the biggest clue that the OP was on top of it ...

Half assed information is not conducive to getting good answers to problems, which you should know as a physician.

A great reminder to us all that our physicians shouldn't be solely responsible for our health, we ARE our own best advocates and nobody cares about us more than we should!!!

Don't be snarky people. OP just wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced something similar. That's very different than saying she came on here for a diagnosis. As she clearly states, she is seeking appropriate medical care.

you don't get to tell ppl what to post. We don't need another forum nanny.

Good point. I shouldn't tell you what to post but you should also follow your own advice and not tell me what to post. True all around.
