Vitamins???
I use that. It works better in soft foods like yogurt and SF pudding, because it suspends rather than dissolves. You can put it in a beverage, but then you have to shake the cup like a snow globe before taking a swig - otherwise, it just settles to the bottom of the cup. But something like yogurt or pudding is a perfect vehicle for it. Upcal D is pretty cheap, too...
for multis I take Centrum or the CVS equivalent. Both brands come in adult chewables, although not all places carry them (I haven't had much trouble finding them, though - there's always some place in town that has the adult chewables).
for calcium I take the Bariatric Advantage chews. They come in 250 mg and 500 mg sizes and a variety of flavors - caramel, chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, coconut, and several fruit flavors. They're good but pricey. You can find them online.
I take Centrum (x2); Citrical Petites (6 a day for my 1500 mg dose), vit C, and a sublingual B. I no longer supplement D as my levels were at toxic levels. But I have labs run more often than most and my doctors are always adjusting my D and B levels. My program explicitly states NO flintstone since it's not complete or up to recommended standards.
I actually found a chewable Calcium Citrate plus Vitamin D 500mg at of all places the Digestive Health Center at OHSU where I am having my Surgery on June 6th... imagine that. $33.00 was their price for a 30 day supply. With this option, I will only have to take 3 pills a day. I'll look online to see if i can get it cheaper.
Gummies gave me a stomache ache, even at 8 months. I do not recommend them for just out of surgery. At 2.5 years after surgery,I could prob try them again, but will not.
