So I have been lurking here the past few months and I figure its past time for me to introduce myself. I have gotten so much information from ya'll already. My name is Jacob and I am 34 years old. I am married with 2 beautiful red headed daughters.

I have been trying to get this surgery for at least 5 years but haven't been able to due to finances. Well I finally have insurance that covers it so I am currently in the process of jumping through those hoops. My last weight management appointment is scheduled for June 5 and then I have to get an upper gi. After that (fingers crossed) I should be good to go. So far I have lost about 20 lbs and I'm hoping to lose another 12 before surgery.

I tend to ramble a bit so I think I'll cut this off here. I tend to read more than I post in general as I'm pretty introverted, but I'm working on it so hopefully you'll see me around. If not, I'll still be here reading.

Tldr: Hi, I'm new here and I ramble a bit.

Thanks! Credit for the insurance has to go to my wife though for being willing to go back to a job where she has to stand on her feet all day (starbucks). She and I are going through this process together and are hoping to have the surgeries about a week apart.

Welcome! Standing on her feet all day will be far less taxing once she loses weight.

Welcome Jacob! I lurked for a long time before I posted as well, I am glad I finally did. That is wonderful that you and your wife are going through the process together. Best wished to you both!
