I really didn't come here to be attacked. I have been talking about my personal contacts in many of theses posts.

If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.

when you say "all of us" you are trying to speak for more than just yourself.

Also, you don't get to tell anyone else how or what or when they can post.

For someone who got hung up on the word "I" once already, you sure are making a lot of assumptions.

Aw, I'm sorry that you didn't feel prepared for all of this. One of the things that really helped me was reading all of the VSG posts in the forums pre-op. Between that and my healthcare team, I felt super prepared.

You made really sweeping statements in your original post, especially about skin. Your skin bothered you. Fair enough. Other people may not be bothered at all.

I don't care about my extra skin. If I do at some point, I will burn that bridge then.

We have seen a lot of people here lately get worried about skin as if it is a foregone conclusion we will all have tons of it. I either have less than I thought I woul or a lot of tolerance for looking like a Shar Pei.

Today has been the first day that i have seen anyone say that they are okay with it. I am really glad to hear that so many are comfortable with the excess skin. It is way to much money to remove! I honestly think that if you look at your size, how long you have been overweight, you will know aprox how much skin you will have. Seeing it is different though. :)

If it isn't too personal, can I ask how much it was for you to have it removed? I am not at the point of needing it, but I am only curious about it since I'll want it in the future!

I am glad you have been successful, and are looking forward to plastics... Plastics has been an important part of my journey.

I do want to chime in on the Thyroid, just because I do think it is a false notion that if your hypothyroid condition is regulated you will lose weight.

I finally went on Thyroid meds and got it regulated 3-4 years before WLS. I also had a low resting heart rate 60 and below. It did not help me lose any significant weight. Just putting that out there for other who may be reading this....
