What are we like besides our WLS?

One of the big things on my skinny to do list is disney world. I have always loved Disney especially the Princesses and all their animated movies.
Thank you for posting this and asking!
I posted this the other day-It is so appropriate to your post!
I am happily married and a geriatric (according to the hospital records) mom of a busy 8 year old boy. We have the most expensive and cute Boston Terrier on the planet.
lucky enough to live in a great neighborhood in a major city which is walking distance to the beach so we spend a lot of weekends taking long beach walks (sounds cliche I know). The price we pay for the neighborhood is a 110 year old money pit of a house so I feel like my other job is home renovating. We always have a project on the go.
i love to cook and travel (when it is not for business). Unfortunately most of my travel is for work. The majority of my team is in Texas so I'm in Texas at least 6-8 times a year.

How cute! Being that close to the beach must be heaven for him especially during the summer season. I have never lived close to any large body of water but someday I would pove to live by the ocean
Lots of people from Michigan!
Nice idea for you to ask this. It is interesting to hear more about people.
Who am I? First I was a mother, as my first daughter was born when I was 17 and I had 3 other children in various ways over the years. My first was by birth, daughter 2 by marriage, and daughter 3 and son by adoption. I was married twice (the first daughter with the first husband), but have been married to DH for 36 years. We lost our first DD (DH adopted her) to cancer 12 years ago.
Because I was a young mother I spent a lot of time re-defining myself. I have worked for the same insurance company for 40 years either as an employee or a contractor (while my youngest 2 were growing up). I'm now what is considered an "executive", though not at a high level. I went to college and graduate school part-time while I was working to ultimately gain an MBA. After my oldest died, I had to redefine myself again internally (I'm still struggling with that).
I have 2 dogs and have had a "puppy" I loved most of my life. Puppy #1 is an almost 14 year old beagle and puppy #2 is an almost 16 year old chihuahua. The second one was my oldest daughter's dog.
I am retiring at the end of this year, because I'm tired of working, but also to be there for my DH. We were both headstrong people and had a lot of respect for each other. DH was a lawyer with his own practice and we planned to wor****il we were financially able to comfortably travel to a new place every winter. Unfortunately DH has early Alzheimer's, so had to retire 3 years ago and traveling to unfamiliar places isn't going to work. My role is already shifting to caretaker which I never expected. I did it with my kids, with oldest DD for her last 18 months fighting cancer and now have that role again probably for a long time. At this point it is good to plan for the future, but not think too much about some aspects of it.
We lived for almost 35 years in Central Massachusetts, but had a summer/weekend house on Cape Cod for the last 5 years there. We moved here fulltime when DH retired. We have a pond around the corner which we can swim in and 9-10 ocean beaches within a 10 minute drive. I LOVE the beach! We bought a town home in Florida this year to spend winters at, as DH needs a familiar place and we both need sun and warmth in the winter.
I have always read constantly when not otherwise engaged, and watch more shows than I should, especially at night when I am tired after work. My other main interest is home decorating. I love to make my home look beautiful (though with 2 elderly dogs and DH with Alzheimer's it can be a challenge at times).
