Fuji's are great bikes! And remember, the best bike in the whole world is YOURS!
Spin class is actually really good for working on your pace. Some spin bikes have a spedometer on them, you can use that to watch your speed. I like to do interval training-- 1 minute of my normal speed, 30 seconds of the hardest sprint I can manage. Keep that up, and you'll be faster in no time! :)

So proud of you! My husband used to do triathlons--and my son did a few--so I've been to a lot of them, and I just love seeing all the competitors, and supportive environment. I also know what a lot of work it is! I was imagining you going through all the transitions. Way to go!!!!!!! So awesome.
