Yes I don't like the way trying to eat more felt.

I tried to eat more calories today, I didn't hit 1300, I made it to 900 and feel awful. I feel so bloated, it's a miserable feeling.
So as a matter of fact not fiction you can do whatever YOU feel is best. Your doc will have his math for getting you to his "successful" category which might not be yours. For instance statistically you will loose 60% of your excess body weight according to my doc. So what does that mean? Well it means a lot of math and what is normal for you and where did they start the 60% ticking from and anyway long story short math for stat purposes can be arranged to be true for marketing and check box purposes. So your doc I can assure you of one thing, wants you to be statistically successful. So he's come up with some math numbers and according to his math (which you do not know unless you ask) will get you to X weight by X time and there you go. But if you've not asked him then your goals and his might not match up.
So do what you want. If you want to loose fast eat less calories. If you want to slow down eat more. If you feel full and bloated that's too much and don't eat that much. Don't follow some doc or internet person's advice that works for them, do your own math and own your feelings about your suscess.

Thank you for this! Just today honestly, I was seeing my therapist and we talked a lot about my goals for weight loss. We talked together about what I want for myself and how soon, following my doctor is not the way for me to go, but I have to make my own plan to follow and together today we came up with what I feel is right to do for my goals.
Congratulations on your success! You are doing incredible! I have taken Grim, Stacy and other vets advice on staying low on cals and carbs. I've been very successful so far. Not losing as quick as I would like but it's steady. I wish you the best of continued success!

Grim and others are correct. I stayed about where you were before and lost all my excess weight. The more calories you eat the less fat you will burn. If I had listened to my surgeon I would have achieved their goal for me--and still have an overweight bmi. Expectations are low so the advice is generous. For better results listen to those here.
Agree with the advice of the vets... I am almost 8 months out, almost at my surgeon's expected weight but I intend to get 30 pounds below that if I can. I mostly stay at about 800 calories a day. When I increased my cals my weight loss slowed down. I am in that race for my life, too. We have a very short window to do this. Good luck.
