Thanks for the input - I'll call the surgeon and ask about it. I saw the results in their portal and they haven't contacted me. I've been taking a Bariatric vitamin and perhaps I need to change how often I take them. I tried to google high B12 and B1 and couldn't get much. So thank you again!

My B12 results have always been off the charts and I DO NOT take a supplement. At surgery, March 29, my B12 read 3508 pg/ml. Over the past 5 years, even prior to WLS, it was always >3500.

My B1 results are also on the high end but not off the charts. It seems the high level may be hereditary; both my mother and grandmother have high B1 & B12 levels.

My surgeon knows and is not too concerned at this point. Again, I don't take any B supplements.

I know you will, but keep tabs on these levels going forward. Your vitamin needs could change after your revision.

I am 9 years out and take the natures bounty brand b12 cherry flavored dissolve under your tongue 500 mg every day .. my b12 level was high once when I mistakenly bought the 2500 or 5000 and was using it daily. had to adjust and all good again.
