Mowing the yard
on 4/27/17 11:31 am - WI
I must be the odd man out here. I love to mow the lawn. It's mindless activity and calms me. I get a little thrill seeing the freshly mowed lawn and I love the smell of cut grass.
I know... I'm weird...I love to pull weeds in the garden too....
I don't mind mowing, or even raking. But I dislike picking up what I rake, or pulling weeds.

Great NSV! I cut the grass yesterday too (though I've been doing it for 35 years) and I noticed that, even though I've only just begun this WLS journey a couple of months ago, the 60 lbs or so that I am down from last summer has resulted in an easier and less sweaty time doing it.
Amazing how cathartic even the simplest tasks can be, regardless of what personal hurdle you're wrestling with. For me, I"m noticing even early on just how improved household tasks are, and I also cycle commute. That's MUCH easier now.
Keep going with these kinds of chores, you're doing great!
Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
Yard work still sucks and I still hate my weed hacker. I have only weed hacked once since surgery but afterwards I didn't hurt like I did previously.
That is awesome!! Good for you!!
PS I have an electric mower and love it.
