Gout
I can certainly feel your pain!!!! I had my first gout attack last weekend and it too****il yesterday before I was back to almost normal. I gained 5lbs in just 2 days with all of the swelling. I was incapacitated and had to use a walker just to get to the bathroom. I soaked my foot in Epsom salts, used ice packs and bio freeze. I will be making a visit to my PCP to come up with a treatment plan but the last thing I want is more pills. I also just ordered the tart cherry extract tablets. It is going to be almost impossible to eliminate the triggers because we consume so much protein. I am trying not eat the worst protein triggers and I started to eat tofu to help supplement the protein because I'm trying to eas less meat. I also increased my water intake to no less than 120 oz per day.
I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us updated with your progress.
Congrats on your great weight loss!

There are some articles that sayi donating blood (to drop ferritin levels) and taking copper supplements will help with gout. Speak with your doctor about those options.
