Skin removal...will Medicaid cover surgery?

It's the person that will see me naked I'm concerned about.

Again, then, your priorities are not right.

Anyone seeing you naked should want you LIVING.

If someone loves you -- they LOVE YOU -- all of you. If they don't, well, arguably you shouldn't be naked in front of them anyhow.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get some mental health counseling. The fact that you are so concerned with your physical appearance for someone seeing you naked rather than LIVING is of vital concern.

Why are you concerned about that? sounds like there is something else behind this. The person who sees me naked cares way less about my body flaws than I do. In fact he gets angry with me if I am self-critical in any way.

Agree with everything Kat has said.

I appreciate all the concern. As I've said I'm only a few days into researching about this. I do have a therapist and can't see her for a few days. I'm certainly not jumping into any surgery right now or even the next 6 months since pre diet is required by insurance. Give me some slack please. You've all been on your journeys for awhile....mine is JUST starting.

I'm glad you have a therapist who can support you. Don't worry about the skin, you will find having a healthy body will be a bigger reward than you can possibly imagine at this point. also I'm nearly 50 and down almost 94 lbs from a bmi of 44 and no sag...wrinkles, yes but no sag-yet. if you were to look at my pregnancy photos you'll see that i was waaay bigger pregnant than I was when I was obese and most of the skin damage happend there. My son was way worth it though. wouldn't let fear of skin sag have stopped me there :)

When you have your psych evaluation before approval for surgery, if you say this is your main concern you won't be approved.
