Actually, it's pretty unlikely that you'll run into many of them. They made quite a big show of their migration here, but very few have actually stuck around to post.
A lot of us are still here, just reading and occasionally contributing. I don't like to barge in and act like I own the place ;-)
Haaaaaaaaaa! I got blocked for replying to someone who was talking about me. Speaks volumes, doesn't it?
I refuse to be bullied by forum warriors. I came here, the clique didn't like it. Admittedly, my entrance sucked but I owned it and apologized. They didn't like that either.
I kept quiet to learn the lay of the land. They didn't like that.
I posted advice, they didn't like that because I'm not a groupie/their opinion of a vet/long time member.
I took a vacation from the site and they didn't like that either.
Bottom line? I don't need this clique to like me or to accept me to validate my worth. I'm four years out, I'm maintaining beautifully, I'm intelligent, and I'm worth a lot more than a group of forum bullies care to recognize JUST AS ALL of us are.
I'm here to stay and I'm not going anywhere. I may be super busy right now, but that doesn't mean I've crapped out. Sorry, not sorry.
ISO ... New "clique" members. You must be kind, warm, welcoming, honest, intelligent, and have a sense of humor. The words "shamed" or "victim" can not be in your regular vocabulary. Sarcasm is welcome (and wanted!), but cruelty is not. You must not be a coddler or a shamer. All members are free to classify themselves as vets, newbies, grasshoppers or anything else they desire.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, puppies, sunsets and taking off my bra as I pull in the driveway. If you are like minded, you are in!
And remember, we are ALL worthy of love, humor, and dignity.
I started a new group here for my old BP friends and any new friends who have a sense of humor. Link to join:

Yep, still here but don't intrude when it is obvious I am not wanted!! Also, in spite of the opinion of OH's, that blocking people is childish, immature, rude, shortsighted etc., I seem to have been blocked by a number of people even though I've never been in an argument with anyone. I have put in my two cents when I have felt that someone was being targeted unfairly, so I guess with inflation, I was quickly shown how much my two cents was worth!!

I'm still here, although I don't know why with some of the ****ty comments I've seen like this. I've never felt welcome here from day one.

Totally agree. As "horrible" as some of us were made out to be, we NEVER treated anyone like this. It's quite comical, actually.
So sorry. This former fatty doesn't make honest effort to make people feel bad about being around. It's such bizarre behavior.

I noticed that too. I was hoping for participation from new people on the VSG forums and in the daily meal posts, but instead it was just migrated drama drama drama and then nothing.

Why would we want to participate when all you vets seem to do is talk **** and resent us?
Wow, mystery!

Aw, I appreciate that you think I'm a vet! I'm only three years out, though, so I've still got a few years to go. But thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for making my original point.
For the record, this is the only forum that consider people 'vets' after 5 years. In other forums, you are a vet.
One of the many strange things I have found about this forum in general.
Don't get me wrong, overall this is the Einstein of bariatric surgery forums, and I appreciate that. But being full of super intelligent and very knowledgeable peeps comes with a certain air of pretentiosity that frankly is a real turn off for me. Some comments in this thread prove that I wasn't imagining it, either.
Meh. I guess garbage in, garbage out, right?
