What protein snacks do you keep in the car/on the go?
I'm amazed by some of the comments to this post.
I always carry a quest bar or a tuna pouch in my bag just in case - sometimes my planned meals don't go as planned and I need something in an emergency situation. Having a healthy option in my bag is much more useful than needing to eat while out and being unprepared - since then I'll end up without good choices.

So much of it depends on lifestyle. If I lived the active, crazy life that Gwen does, I'd no doubt keep emergency rations in my purse as well. I, however, am very much a homebody and have a laid-back lifestyle with only rare days that might keep me away from home for a regular meal, so I don't need to carry anything.
I also plan my meals in an app (I use Baritastic), but probably 4 out of 7 days that plan goes out the window and I end up eating something entirely different.
I should clarify that I'm not shocked by the "I don't snack" comments because I, also, do not snack. My plan is very clear that I'm to eat 3 meals a day and this works well for me. My emergency foods are eaten as a meal if they need to be eaten.
I was amazed by some of the super judgmental comments.

Oh, I completely agree! I can't imagine telling anyone that my way was the only acceptable way to do things. If that were true, there wouldn't be a different eating plan/guideline for every surgeon that does WLS. It's silly to assume that what works for you is the only "right" way and will always work for someone else. Neither eating plans nor WLS are "one size fits all." The world surely does not work that way.
Specifically, the ones that completely deviated from the question asked and went into a rant about lifestyle changes, etc, etc. What works for one person may not work for another! If I didn't eat on the go (albeit with a pretty good game plan) I would either not eat or I'd make far poorer choices.

Definitely. Lifestyle change when it comes to food is one thing and definitely what we all need to do. :D But, seriously, VSG isn't going to change the fact that I'm a student who spends 4 of 7 days out of the house running around to classes, appointments, and every other thing that happens :P

I use my lunch break 3-4 days out of 5 to get a walk and then I eat in front of my computer while working afterwards. I'm sure that someone has an opinion about that, but a different someone would have an opinion if I cut out my walks too!
