Just had VSG-Do you add water or milk to your protein drink
Great recipe - I copied to save it for the future...pretty sure my chocolate will get old.
I used to make my shakes with Unsweetened Almond Milk, then one day I didn't have it on hand and just used water.....I like using water.
BTW, I used to make protein coffee, adding the protein powder with half 'n half... the other day I forgot to put the coffee k-cup....I ended up with delicious hot chocolate. Now I make it every evening.
It might depend on what kind of powder you're using I think. If you're using a flavored powder, I defer to the advice of others. I used unflavored protein powder and added my own flavorings, so I originally used skim milk. Then I discovered I had developed an intolerance for milk, so switched to unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
I used to use the Fairlife for smoothies ... when I was losing I always wanted them to have 30g. So I would add enough milk to make 30 and then water. Now I am more concerned about calories, I get plenty of protein so I love the unsweetened cashew. Either original or vanilla
