New Atkins Bars

I am REALLY UNHAPPY with Atkins.

They went "all natural" and my favorite bars are now ruined! I loved the chocolate peanut butter bars. I eat 2 a day and have done so off and on for years (they were better than candy bars). They changed the formula and the new formula encompasses everything that I hate about protein bars. The new formula now tastes chalky and fatty

Does anyone else eat these?

I understand all "natural" is better- but it's really not....

Hahaha. I like the fact that they are "real" food ...but I still don't like it.

Even though I think it's kind of funny that you are upset that they are now "all natural" or healthier -- hahahaha -- I do kind of understand. I felt similarly with Quest bars when they changed their formulation to the corn fiber. I was able to eat them before (never every day -- more like once or twice a month) without them bothering me or raising my blood sugar. The new fiber causes me some distress in that I tend to drop very low (RH-like) after eating one.

I was pretty disappointed that they changed them, because they were something I considered a "safe" treat or emergency meal once in a while.

Sorry you're disappointed.

I search the shelves for the old Quest bars too! There is a small independent health food store in town that hasn't switched over yet. I can still get the old coconut cashew and banana nut flavors. All my other "go to" stores have switched.

I completely feel your pain. They were my go to that was " safe" and something I really... really looked forward to. I was totally bummed out at the change in taste. I have been searching the shelves to stock pile the old stock before they're all gone. Change.... I don't do well with it. #shrugshoulders

However, I have resolved myself to the fact that the bars are still oooook, and I'm thinking much healthier so I will get over it. LOL

Mine were power crunch peanut butter. After my first year I was thinking these were a good choice if I was on the run.... Live and learn....

Maybe Amazon, GNC, or the vitamin shoppe still has the old ones.
