Is this worth documenting for potential plastics?
I also recommend switching to bras that breathe better. Maybe encapsulation style sports bras instead of compression/uniboob style ones. Insurance coverage based on poor clothing choice seems unlikely!

I waited a year before I had plastics and once I knew I was going to keep the weight off saw a PS. So hit goal and wait to see what weight you and your body are going to be comfy with. It changes.....
I had to use towels under the folds of skin and wore 2 girdle garments. When I worked it it causes some serious skin issues. I documented them and so did the PS I was seeing. I was turned down by the insurance company. When I called in tears I asked how could they turn me down with seeing the open wounds they said they had to seen the photos. They called me back, viewed them and approved.
So when the time is right if you still have the issues please do document, it helps. Until then keep things as dry as you can, use powder and when you see your surgeon the next time be sure and let them know so they can advise you what to do.
Good Luck

Yes, it is gross. I will judge here, because I am old and have no filter. To admit it's "too much trouble to keep up with well fitting underwires" is ridiculous. It is saying YOU are not worth the effort, and I do not believe that is true!
To ask if you should stop using powders, etc "to see if it'll rash up" is basically asking us if we think you should commit insurance fraud. Since you asked, my answer is NO.
Just my no filter, really smart opinions...
I am a legend, in my own mind, ya know

You can buy wireless Just My Size bras from Amazon for between 12-18 depending. I buy one black and one white every 1-3 months, depending on weight loss, and wash them daily by hand, hanging them to dry. Even at 440 pounds post-op I never had yeast issues doing this. I think the sports bras are harder to clean.
As for underwires, they have those for ~$25. You could just get one or two and hand wa**** Definitely more comfortable, I think, even if it's expensive. Those creams and powders add up money-wise too.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life
To be fair to the OP. I use good bras (and sport bras for when I just want to be comfy) I get skin issues under my boob and where my belly skin overlaps 'down there. I use powders and keep clean. But my skin just seems to smell odd and feel.. icky. Some people's skin will do this. Same as some people are prone to acne, or dry skin etc.
