Is this worth documenting for potential plastics?

Next to your name it says you had your surgery only about 4 months ago. You should be at goal weight for at least a year (if not 2) before considering plastic surgery. Given that, I would definitely document (go to the doctor) but keep treating. Remember as you're in your weight loss phase, all kinds of things are happening to your body. Give it time.

I guess you could stop treating and see what happens. I would definitely talk to a doctor.

I wouldn't stop treating it. I would call the doctors office to tell them you had this problem

Call your insurance company to see what they consider documentation.

How much weight do you still plan to lose? I ask, because it seems weird to document things at 4 months post-op when you have no idea what your skin issues will be at goal. But, if you only have 20 pounds until goal, then do it now, by all means.

That's quite a ways in the future then - 15-20% body fat. So I'd imagine that the skin issues you're having now will not be the ones you're having then. And, yes, you will likely still want a breast lift, but documenting issues now in hopes that insurance will cover it when you reach that goal doesn't seem worth the time.

Most insurance companies will not cover the cost of a lift or augmentation unless you have had breast cancer. You might call them just to see if it even matters.

I had my breast lift with an augmentation in January along with a tummy tuck. I am nearly 3 years post op and over a year at my goal.

Plastics are so worth it!!!! Lots of pain and $$$ but it is worth it. My insurance would not even cover the tummy tuck even though I had a terrible rash and infection under my belly. Others have had some luck with a panni removal being covered but not the full abdominalplasty which honestly most WL patients really need.

My surgeon insisted that you are at goal and maintaining for at least 6 months. That being said, it definately is worth it to begin preparing by interviewing surgeons and figuring out what if anything will be covered. Also a plan to pay for it. I live in Milwaukee and things are a little less expensive than some larger cities. My arm lift cost was 6500.00 and my full abdominalplasty, breast lift with augmentation was 17,200.00.
