seriously...what a completely dysfunctional family. Both brothers need some intensive psychological counseling (and addiction treatment) before even considering surgery.

I haven't seen this yet, but I'm not crazy about the fact they seem to be featuring mostly extreme cases now (not extreme in terms of weight - but extreme in terms of "issues"). I liked it better when they featured mostly people with normal personalities and lives *****ally put their all into their weight loss programs. Although evidently extremism helps with ratings....

Fat Doctor - the British series - much preferred for me because it is not about extremes. Normal people with my kind of weight issue. This last episode with those brothers is almost unwatchable.

p.s. I should clarify by saying that people on 600 lb Life are extreme in terms of weight. What I meant was, that's not the part that bothers me. I'm fine with that. It's that they now seem to be only interested in these people with extreme issues. I didn't mind an occasional one, but this is getting ridiculous. It's hard to relate to a lot of these people.

This has been the most frustrating episode to watch for me. While I feel bad for what the brothers went through with their mom as teenagers the way they behave now as adults is just not acceptable. The whole lot of them need to get into some serious family therapy and addiction counseling before anything else can happen to deal with the weight issues. I don't want to sound ugly by saying this but I truly don't understand how these grown men can live their lives acting like children and their dad allowing in and taking care of them as though they are kids. The younger one, while he did have serious weight issues, was not working, living off his dad and playing with games and toys all day. I just don't get it.

I'm thinking adults with fetal alcohol syndrome to start with!

I just saw a clip, but the dad needed to grow a backbone! Stopping every hundred miles to get the non-ambulatory son junk food on the way to TX?! Just say no and hang up on the guy!
