OMG here we go again. You look too thin, you don't need to lose any more, yada yada
For the love of all that is holy. Family are a blessing and curse. My son and DIL brought my grand angels to visit Nana yesterday and my son went on and on about me losing too much regain. Then he opened my fridge and was aghast at the lack of food. No, what you were not seeing was the lack of my bad food. Then when I mentioned I had about 15 to go he looked at me like I had 2 heads. It has not been that long since I was at goal, working out like a body builder and size 0 HELLO!
Don't listen to them, they mean well but if you listen to them you will translate it to hearing, it's OK, go ahead, take that bite, buy that trigger food. After all they say you look GREAT!
DON'T DO IT!!!!! TRUST ME!!!!

thanks for posting- I NEEDED to read this.
My mom's 80th birthday party was Saturday and I was getting a full court press to cancel my WLS (day after tomorrow). I know that they mean well. I know that I carry the weight well. But I'm MO. I am. And it is going to be the death of me.
Funny thing - they were all saying "What ever you're doing, keep it up! You don't need the WLS you look GREAT! You're losing so much weight without it!" but I haven't lost a pound. What they are seeing is that since I separated from my DH 18 months ago, after 30 very long years of trying very hard to make a marriage work, that I'm just WAY less stressed and pretty happy being on my own. Looking less stressed makes me LOOK thinner. Kinda funny.
(My DH also keeps saying how much weight I've lost - I want to say "yeah, I left about 250lbs right there in your recliner" but that would be cruel... right?)

OK just spit me tea on the 250 pound loss. You are so bad LOL But you are right stress eating is our curse. Let's be honest, we have enough head issues going on. All it takes is a few you look great, you don't need to lose more. We hear go ahead and eat that and do it anymore and trust me before you know it, you have gained and miserable!!!
Yes there is a strange strength in being by yourself. You don't have to answer to anyone but YOU and may find out you are not so bad!

I saw my mom this weekend after not seeing since October for my grandmothers funeral. She didnt even recognize me when I opened the door, she said. She left and emailed me the next night saying she cried as she went to sleep, that she lost her son she feels like in a way. She said shes afraid I've lost too much... I replied that I'm sorry she feels that way, that I havent even lost that much since October, and that I'm still her baby boy. She responded that she is just not used to be not being incredibly overweight and her big teddy bear lol
She told me my brother and sister will absolutely lose it when they see me next -- I havent seen them since before surgery (they live in GA, I'm in FL)

FWIW, I dont have an issue shrugging off anyone who has ever told me I need to stop losing. This was probably the hardest one for me so far :\
