Sad thing is, I would still try to eat those "bad" cookies. LOL

There are certain foods that I can do in moderation. Those foods that I know I will devour I can't keep in the house. Chocolate Turtles with the pecans. Yeah, I can't buy a box of those because by hook or by crook I will fini**** all. Moderation be d*mned!

Last year, I discovered that our local Girl Scouts accept donations of cookies to send to military members serving overseas. So now I'll hand them a $5 bill and tell them to pick out a box "for the troops." I get to support a good cause, and that crack gets nowhere near my house!

Julie I used to do the same thing. The jackass over confident person I thought I was thought I could do it in moderation.

My digestive track is not happy with me this morning at all.

I do this with my girlfriend's daughter -- I buy boxes and ask her to give them to lonely elderly or even homeless people in our area. I know her well enough to know she does JUST THAT -- and it gives her daughter a chance to spend time with some lonely people in their church.

Julie, that's exactly what I do!!! When my DH whined, that I didn't buy HIM any cookies, I gave him the web addy, for the Army recruiter...you'd think he would know better, after all these years....

Me, too. I have given in to the adorable little darlings and purchased two boxes, which I tell them to keep and give to the next soldier, police officer, EMT, or firefighter they see. If they don't see one, I tell them to give them to someone else or to the food bank.

Yeah....I absolutely cannot have those in my house, nope nope nope....because my brain is convinced that 2/3 of the box of tagalongs = a serving.

Good on you for giving away the rest!

2/3? Really? You get away cheap. My mind would torture me until the entire box was gone, and then if I did not feel sick I would open another box.
