"Woman's World" Magazine Headline
GRRRR yet again to WW .. They are infamous for headlining many times in the past they have some diet that supposedly yields results "as good as gastric bypass" . They went over the top this week, IMHO, though with their headline about yet another such diet. This one features a photo of Dr. Oz next to it and states, "Dr. Oz says 'it's the same as if I stapled your stomach'!".
I very seriously doubt Dr. Oz ever made such a silly statement, given (1) he's not a bariatric surgeon and (2) the "stomach stapling" procedure has been obsolete for like 30+ years now ..
Does that mag have no integrity? I wish something could be done about those misleading statements, despite "freedom of speech" and all ...

Something can be done - write letters to the editor, post on their Facebook and other social media platforms with well reasoned statements that dispute their claims.

I wouldn't expect anything more from woman's world... it not exactly a literary masterpiece. You figure their target audience would likely buy this story and tout it as gospel. Probably the same brilliant minds that voterd for Trump.

True, but they do seem to always manage to make it to the top of the rack in all the check-out lines at WM for everyone to see .. (if that's anything to brag about ) ...
As to a writing campaign, if anyone has any "ins" to Dr. Oz's show, I bet he would find it interesting to know that the magazine is using his name w/o permission to post a "quote" on its front page that he never said and would likely strongly disagree with ..
