Chia seeds get soft and mushy after a while and it makes yogurt crazy thick-not that there's anything wrong with that.

Chia seeds are like tapioca -- they aren't crunchy. I guess if you just put them on top and didn't use them as they are supposed to be -- maybe? But, ick. They would also expand in your belly...

I love sunflower seeds, but be aware that they are extraordinarily calorie dense. 1/4 cup has 180 calories on average -- so about 44 per Tablespoon. I am so bad with stuff like that -- I know I would eat more than I intended so I always use an actual measure. I love them on a salad...

I sometimes use ground almonds or pecans on my yogurt, too. Again, calorie dense, though.

I know this sounds really strange -- but I also like caramel or plain greek yogurt with some sugar free maple flavoring mixed in with some crumbled crisp bacon on top. It's fabulous!

Yes definitely know about the calories in sunflower seeds so I had originally intended to use only like 1 tbsp. That's the reason i don't snack on them, I know I could never eat just a little bit, I know my weaknesses lol Great idea about the salads tho had forgotten about that, I'll save them for salads and other veggies!

Hate nuts, so they're out for sure.

But OMG the maple bacon idea sounds fabulous, definitely going to add that to my list...with vanilla yogurt could be great! Thanks for the idea!

Chia have more Omega 3 while sunflower have more Omega 6 fatty acids. The Omega 3 are better .

If you use raw seeds - they should be sprouted, or at least soaked for 6-12 hours. I love sprouted sunflower seeds. You can dehydrated again if you need a crunch...
