Has anyone gone to a dermatologist?

I saw that there were a few procedures that dermatologists can use for minor excess skin issues, and I'm wondering if anyone has seen a dermatologist for this? What procedure did you have done? I understand that for major excess skin I'll need to have plastic surgery. However, I'd like to look into if thermage or fractal laser (or anything else that I may not know about) could be beneficial?

I had laser treatment for my rosacea, and there are injectables that can help with the lines on either side of my mouth I've developed from a combination of weight loss and age.

I have heard of other things but have not investigated.

Did the laser treatment help your rosacea? I have it too and hate it. The metrogel I was prescribed doesn't seem to help at all.

It helped with the telangiectasia, but what helped with the flares is that I consume far less sugar than presurgery and no alcohol. Those were significant triggers for me.

Thanks; I haven't had any sugar since before my pre-op diet, and never drink alcohol and I still get flares, even with metrogel.

I've been walking outside all week and it's still very windy and cold out; maybe that is the problem.

Oh, yes, cold weather aggravates my skin, too.

I know some people have success with medication, but I tried most of them and got little relief. I think rosacea is very individual.

Thermage or fractal laser could improve the tone on your face and neck but won't improve lose body skin from major weight loss very much. Save your money for plastic surgery.

I was looking at it for my neck. I've developed some serious loose skin on my neck due to losing 2-3 inches there. Have you had it done or looked into it?

I had plastic surgery for it: mini facelift. It wasn't nearly as expensive as I expected. Here is a post with pictures (I had a TT as well):
