Change can make us uncomfortable. So of course we don't always want to.

Also I know when I weighed 322 pounds. I don't want to be there again. Not at goal I will make it though.

Call it whatever you want what matters is the action you take and the effort you put into things after the surgery. Everything else is semantics.

I hear you, it's important to try to look at all of this in every way possible-you're not out of line.

For me, pre-surgery, the concept of my smaller stomach as a tool gave me an "aha" moment. It was the explanation of it as "only a tool amongst the other tools", that helped me understand that wls isn't magic or fool-proof. This is probably the most important thing to understand before having wls. If thinking of painting works for you, then great.

Congrats on getting started you will rock this journ...process!

Thanks! I guess too that I was thinking about better/easier ways to explain it to "the flat belly's" that think it is the easy way out. .

You do not owe the flat belly morons ANY explanations, for what you are choosing to do with YOUR body, and YOUR future health...I promise I am not usually this mouthy...

Ok...I am lying...

But...you will get used to me...and you might even learn to like me :)

I guess that statement made me rather uncomfortable. Looks like you judge people by their belly size... This is as bad as fat shaming. Morons are morons regardless of their belly size...

I met a lot of "round belly's" that thought I took the easy way out..! And they going to lose the weight "the hard way.".

Most of my normal or skinny friends were more supportive that some Obese or MO.

I get tired of being judged as "flat belly's" when I am out in public. When you are successful with WLS - you will be in the "flat belly's team"...

Well, after reading your first response to my post, and the above response to one of my other (obviously overly offensive smartass comments) i will be sure to run my further correspondence on OH through YOU for approval to be put into the safe zone section.
