For me knowing and understanding are 2 different things.

Your statement "I understand it will be hard work, I understand it is for the rest of my life"

Makes me laugh . You think you understand..In reality - you have no clue what's coming.

We think we know, we are prepared... But reality often is different than our expectations.

Apparently, either, you misunderstood my posting, or I didn't put it correctly. I am not PooPooing the gravity of what is happening. thank you for your feedback.

HALA...how right you are. Pre op, I had convinced myself I could do my own surgery if someone would help me hold my guts open. I had researched, out the wazoo!!! Then came 4-22-02...Talk about being humbled!!!

My feelings on this....This is your game and you're the game master. This game is usually predominantly a mind game. Psychologically speaking we all have allowed our minds ( for one reason or the other) to dictate our stomachs. That's how we got here. Its a huge piece. We have to master our minds on this. I feel like if the terms journey and tool are not favorites of yours and do not behoove you to master your mind then you should feel free to use whatever terms that help you be successful, and win your game.

That being said I'm almost 9 months out ( still very new and learning by the minute) and I have used the words journey and tool every single day. For me they're my major pieces. I couldn't be successful without them...hell I wouldn't even be on the game board AT ALL without them. I love my journey and am so thankful for the tool that is guiding me.

Best of luck to you!

Maybe it's a guy thing, but I have always disliked the terms journey and tool. I never use them. But they seem to help a lot of people, so I just leave it alone.

Love it. My doctor has this as his ringtone. I made fun of him when I was coming out of surgery for it.

Just don't stop believing.
