Plateau in week 3??? Please say no.
What is funny is searching "stall" and seeing how many people post about it (me included, and more than once). We are ALL terrified that the surgeon said they did surgery but actually had coffee instead of operating on us. The GREAT news: the weight does come off if you follow your plan.
Don't worry - as everyone has said, stalls are normal.
Also, did your surgeon tell you to be having 1/2 cup of food at six days out? Plans vary, to be sure, but I always went by weight and not volume. I was definitely not at 1/2 cup of food for a good 4-6 months maybe? I got a digital kitchen scale on amazon for maybe $15 and to this day it is a lifesaver. I am NOT good at eyeballing a normal serving size (hello, I got to 350 lbs not through sensible portion sizes lol) so I weighed everything until I got to goal (I mean, I didn't schlep the scale to a restaurant, but whenever I cooked or portioned out meals). You will not and should not eat 1/2 cup of food for quite a while - this is the honeymoon phase so weigh out 1-2 oz of protein for your meals once you are cleared for soft foods or normal foods, and go by that. Good job on the protein shakes to up your protein - I had one for breakfast for a good year or so, since my pouch didn't like solids in the morning and it was a great way to get 20 g of protein in while my pouch was still small. Keep on keeping on - follow the rules and the advice on the site and you will do well!
mine was 1/2 cup from the start...liquids of course, then to puree/soft then solids. always 1/2 cup. Like you i prefer to weigh though. more accurate. and i only used cups when measuring purees and liquids.

One ounce of chicken breast puréed is way more than 1/2 a cup...so i would say 1/2 is a good measure...i can't even get down 1 ounce of food protein in the whole day...imo volume is a good measurement for food in this stage - with the caveat that you are drinking your proteins...

I'm 9 weeks out from VSG and I still need to drink a premier protein at night to make up my protein and that's normally 1/3 to 1/2 of my protein goal. I eat 1.5-2oz of dense protein per meal and that's pretty much it. So yeah, go by weight and not volume when you can. At your point I was on about 1/4 cup of things like cottage cheese, or I could do about 1/2-3/4 of one egg.

This is so common that if you search OH for "three week stall" you'll get a ton of hits. So no worries, you're right on track.
Many people experience stair step loss - lose a few pounds, then stable for a while, then lose a few pounds, repeat. If you don't lose weight for a month, start to worry. But if you stick to your plan, you'll reach your goal.
