It is nice having relationships with my kids now. It's not just because they want money from me.

Happy anniversary! I love when you post about your sobriety. In addition to losing weight, it's a reminder that hard things are possible. And we can all change our script.

You are a great role model.

I wish my mom had done what you did. I might still have her with me today. Happy anniversary

I am sorry about your mother. You have to know she was addicted. No one can make you change and stop. We love our children. But we can't always stop because we love someone.

It is an illness. A horrible disease I wish I was not blessed with. I know I have to make choices now which are better for me and my family. It can suck us in and keep us there in the darkness.

I remember days were I wanted to stop so badly but I wouldn't. I felt so ****ty about myself. The cycle would just repeat itself daily.

My addiction to food sucks to. AA meetings are always full of crappy sugary things. The people don't understand I have a food addiction also. I try to always bring a snack for myself. So I am not tempted. Have I been yes a lot of times.

Learning to forgive ourselves I think is one of the hardest things for me. I have to realize I did cause a lot of chaos in my house. Building trust back is not easy.

One day at a time.

Congratulations for making the choice to be content every day for 365 days in a row. That's amazing -- as amazing, if not more so, than your WLS journey.

Wishing you 365 more, and then some.
