I am having gastric bypass tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 5am. I am very nervous. Do you think it would be ok to take Zquil before bed tonight?

I'd suggest calling your surgeon's office and asking.

you should call your doctor because someone once told me the Zquil worked as a blood thinner or something like that and you should not take blood thinners prior to surgery.

Definitely call your doctor, or anesthesiology - the anesthesia team was who went over which medications I could continue/discontinue prior to surgery.

You'll want to check the ingredients. I know that Nyquil has aspirin, so that's a "NEVER" for gastric bypass. If ZQuil only has the antihistamine and nothing else, it may be fine.
