what does it mean if you think it, but don't actually correct it? There is a sign on the water dispenser at work that says "Please hold your cup under the spicket, because the tray is not connected to a drain." or, something to that effect. I've been so tempted, every day, to get a red pen and correct the word Spicket, to spigot. It drives me absolutely crazy. I am not perfect with grammar and spelling, and honestly if something really bugs me and I'm not sure of the correct way, I will google it, but spicket is so obvious to me, it's maddening.
I'm actually the opposite. Grammar and spelling police irk me to no end. Not everyone's first language is English. Regional and cultural differences are valid. Not everyone has the same writing skills. Autocorrect is the devil.
But everyone should feel comfortable contributing. To me, its kinda like complaining if someone has an accent when they speak.
Unless you can't actually understand what someone is writing:"shhh ta bouche" is my policy.
