Lose vs Loose
LOL. I assume this is directed at me as I managed to get an extra o in my post about not expecting loose skin after losing weight. I noticed it earlier and rolled my eyes at myself.
You spelled douchebag wrong, btw.

Research has shown that "grammar police" tend to indeed be douchebags.
There's A Reason People Generally Find the GP Annoying... (they are)... and if anyone doesn't feel like reading the entire linguistical study, here's a summary of the abstract: "people who feel compelled to correct others grammar and spelling tend to be disagreeable, close-minded, and conscientious anti-socials."

JEN - On something like THAT - I totally agree with you - or if I was writing for a public newspaper or something...
But for a seldom posting person to randomly *****nah...it's not even *****fest Wednesday yet!
My boys used to go to daycare/after school program, where the director put out a weekly "newsletter"...Now THAT thing drove me nuts!!! It was always full of wrong words, misused abbreviations, run on sentences, etc, etc...I'm thinking "Y'all are TEACHING my babies???"...I would use red Sharpie on it, EVERY week, doing my "corrections", and put it back in her mailbox. It turned out she had dyslexia, and whatever else, and apparently nobody ever had the interest or guts to tell how awful her newsletters were. I SHOULD have kept my red Sharpie to my own damn self...I wound up writing the newsletters, for the next 5 years :)

Haha, that's awesome! I would have been mortified if I'd done that, so good for you for stepping up and doing the newsletter. I never call people out on boards because of misspellings and such, mostly because it takes energy I don't care to expend, but I do correct it in my head. I'm like the Roz in Monsters Inc. "I'm always watching!" :D

Other parents were making fun of her newsletters, and throwing them down, in the parking lot! LITTER! I had one of my "Christian moments"...and it bit me, in the butt, for 5 years..lol...We became great friends. Her mom owned the daycare, and 4 others. She hired me as "school nurse", for the 5 centers, and she purchased the necessary packages for their insurance to pay for my WLS...that's how I got my surgery!!! AND the Director's middle son is my Godson! Great things CAN happen out of weird things :)
