Serious, sincere Nurse question: How do you KNOW it's a pinched nerve?

Unfortunately this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to pinched nerve in my shoulder blades. I'm having all of the usual issues. I don't mind getting it checked out by a doctor. I had a great chiropractor that brought me good relief but unfortunately he passed away two years ago.

Ok, that makes me feel better :) Just didn't like the thought of something going misdiagnosed or undiagnosed. Those stinking nerves are nothing to mess with...but..since you have already had experience with them, you know that!!!!

Nothing against Chiro, at all...I just tend to lean mainstream medical (39 year career nurse). Do Chiros do nerve testing? MRIs? X-rays just don't give enough info, IMHO

My old chiropractor was completely old school. No machines. He would press on my back while pulling on my arm. When he felt a weak spot he would adjust away. He was great! Unfortunately I can't find anyone like him.

Chiropractor. My chiro takes x-rays before he even touches you. That's the right way to do things.

If he can't help, I go to my massage therapist. She works miracles.

I definitely need to find a new chiropractor. Unfortunately I can't be on muscle relaxers due to work. Has anybody had any luck with any kind of stretches perhaps?

Try an Eagle pose. It opens up the shoulder blades. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fC9XQWc6ukk

You deserve a giant hug! I had tried all kinds of things to get some relief and nothing worked. I felt INSTANT relief doing the eagle pose! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
