Personality change with weight loss

How has your personality changed with weight loss? For the better or the worse or a mix of both, I'm curious to know.

I know that when I gain weight my personality changes, it's less confident in some situations (not all but some) especially around new people. I can already feel that start to change.

The first time I lost the weight, I was much more outgoing. I was also drinking a lot and I believe I was often a selfish and inconsiderate asshole.

Lets see what hindsight does this time around.

One thing as well, I'm pretty fearless. I travel by myself without any qualms. I flew to London and to Italy several times after I first lost weight as well.

I have my pluses and minuses.

I was always independent and outgoing. I always dressed in fashionable clothes, traveled on my own both in the US and overseas. None of that changed. I just wear smaller sizes.

I do have a lot more compassion for people who struggle with weight.

Life has taught me a lot about understanding people.

I was very introverted before my weight loss, and I still am, although I suppose I'm a little better.

I still see myself as the "big" me, but I'm slowly coming to accept that I'm not like that anymore. It drives my wife nuts that I can't see myself accurately yet.

I'm more driven than I was pre-op. Maybe it's because I know I can be successful in life now, because I've been successful with losing weight? I'm much more willing to try new things and the chance that I might fail doesn't deter me, because there's also the chance that I might win. :)

This could be because hormone dumping because I'm not in maintenance yet but i find that I'm less tolerant of BS.
