ROFL. I loved the caramel rice cakes. With a cup of peanut butter they were even better. And anyways peanut butter is a protein right? Nutella was also very good on top of really any rice cake.

When I realized how many calories were in the rice cakes I started buying the small ones. Because THAT was way better.

OH -- Nutella!! HAHAHAHAHA. That's healthy because it's made from hazelnuts!! It's basically health food.

Thankfully, I'd stopped my Nutella addiction a few years ago because of the palm oil. My love for orangoutangs outweighed my love of cocoa sugar. lol.

It amazes me how often the 'starvation mode' shtick is still touted by doctors/nutritionists.

I tried so many things over the years, the rice cakes too....but the one that makes me laugh is the juicing. I got this ridiculously expensive juicer and I was all ready to commit to a healthier me. I don't remember the exact recipe I tried but it was something with cucumber and celery, along with some spinach and I may have even thrown some kale in there for good measure. The end result looked like something that belonged at the bottom of the port-a-potty and tasted absolutely vile. I gagged about half of it down and sold the juicer shortly thereafter.

I believed the myth that there are "good" foods and "bad" foods until about a year ago when I finally made friends with food. Now I finally get that, for me, the issue was just too much food. No that I only need 60 grams of protein I can eat a modest amount of pretty much anything with my protein.

I'm going to reveal my age with this one: Ayds (I think that was what the "candy" that was supposed to curb your appetite was called). I would eat a whole box of those babies at one sitting!

Oh I remember Ayds candy...I was in 6th or 7th grade and was given them by my parents to try and help me lose weight. They didn't work so I ended up at fat camp.

My mother used to buy those! I would sneak them when I was a kid. I was never hungry for supper--I never made the connection. What's worse? My mother never did either. LOL
