OMG The orange juice is healthy thing or any kind of juice with MOUNDS of sugar in it is good for you myth. It makes me cringe every time I hear people say that. I saw a dude pounding a carton of OJ and said how healthy he was. smh

I was just going to post the food pyramid but you beat me to it. K and salads are okay for losing weight if you do not drown them in dressing, you salad hater.

Food pyramid and the whole low-fat bs! I did well for many years maintaining my wt loss using Robert Atkins....all the doctors put fear into me regarding ketosis. Blah,blah,blah...so pasta and whole grains became my new diet. I was so confused when I gained 100+ lbs eating healthy?
I feel like as an adult I caught on pretty fast to the most common ones, mostly because I had been a Type I diabetic since I was 13. I quickly figured out that carbs are not great for everyone (especially not the SAD recommendations that want me eating 220 day?!). And therefore, low carbs often times means high(er) fat.
I do remember being maybe...13 or so and eating a whole king size package of Runts because they were fat-free and therefore had no calories (of course) and telling my mother and her being happy with my choice.
Oy vey.
Before surgery, I certainly felt like starvation mode was a thing. Also; the whole "you gained muscle weight" when working out for 2.5 days. It was heartbreaking when I learned that was actually water weight!
