What Would You have Named Yourself...?
My former last name ( ex's last name ) is four letters and very common and simple to pronounce. People screwed it up allll the friggin' time.
My maiden name was the bane of my existence when I was younger. It's Spanish, and not super easy to pronounce. Truth be told, I couldn't even pronounce it properly until one of my relatives took pity and taught me. LOL. ( My siblings and I never learned to speak Spanish as children, which was a not-great thing in our family. )

That's so weird. I would have sworn that McHaggerson was Scottish or Irish! I would have never guessed Spanish...

McHagerson is my married name, silly!!
I totally laughed out loud when I read the notification I got for your reply. Got a weird look from hubs.
You're so awesome, Kat.

My ex's last name was 13 letters long... OMG, I DETESTED that... trying to get someone to spell it correctly was near impossible, never-mind teaching two kids how to spell their name in pre-school was a nightmare. My new last name is Fields... I told my hubs, I'm keeping the name, even if I don't keep him

I'm not sure it really means anything, but each of my names (1st,middle, last ) has 6 letters. 6 6 6-make of that what you will.

My oldest daughter's name was Elise. She HATED it when people called her Elsie!

I love your name AND your nickname. But I totally get the messing up thing. My name is spelled differently than usual--it is spelled phonetically, since my mom was a school teacher who taught reading--but its common spelling is well known, so people always spell it wrong.
My husband's last name is easy to pronounce, but people always get it wrong, and the wrong pronunciation is sometimes a swear word!
I always--ALWAYS--have to spell it out for people, and they still always get it wrong.
