Hi All. I'm new to this site and am having a hard time with some of the acronyms. Is there a thread somewhere that can help me. What is NSV? What is a penni? I'm so confused!!!

Noticed on the Board Lingo they have BL as Belt Lipectomy. That is a little old school. Most people refer to it now as LBL- Lower Body Lift and BL is Breast Lift.

Panni is short for panniculus (sometimes referred to as the pannus although that isn't technically correct), or that hanging extra stomach skin caused by losing massive amounts of weight. Panniculectomy is the operation to remove it; different from a tummy tuck because it doesn't involve tightening the stomach muscles, just removal of the skin and fat.

I'm glad you asked this-- I've been lurking around here for a few months and I don't understand all the shorthand either! :)
