Need help cracking the codes
Hi All. I'm new to this site and am having a hard time with some of the acronyms. Is there a thread somewhere that can help me. What is NSV? What is a penni? I'm so confused!!!
Hi attamom2001
Welcome to ObesityHelp.com If you need help with anything, let me know.
Here is a list of the board lingo.
We are in the process of updating the list so if you see something you want added let us know
Adding -
MO = Morbid Obesity
SMO = Super Morbid Obesity
SSMO = Super Super Morbid Obesity
WLS = Weight Loss Surgery
NUT = Nutritionist
HW:330 - GW:150 - MW:118-125
RW:190 - CW:130
Noticed on the Board Lingo they have BL as Belt Lipectomy. That is a little old school. Most people refer to it now as LBL- Lower Body Lift and BL is Breast Lift.

Panni is short for panniculus (sometimes referred to as the pannus although that isn't technically correct), or that hanging extra stomach skin caused by losing massive amounts of weight. Panniculectomy is the operation to remove it; different from a tummy tuck because it doesn't involve tightening the stomach muscles, just removal of the skin and fat.
