The more weight I've gained, the more I've had to deal with incontinence. I'm scheduled for surgery soon. I was wondering if your incontinence issues improved after surgery. Has the weight loss helped you in this area?

I had a terrible problem with it before surgery. A couple of months after the surgery I realized it had stopped somewhere along the line. It's wonderful not to have that problem anymore. I had to always wear pads for protection before because it was unpredictable. I feel so free now. Hope the same happens for you.

I'm two months out and 31 lbs down total. I've noticed that it has helped. Still have problems sometimes when I cough too hard or sneeze hard. Maybe it will get better in a few months - I don't know. I was hoping for instant stoppage but, alas, it wasn't to be.

On the bright side, I'm not a type 2 diabetic or have high blood pressure anymore. Plus, no more sleep apnea. I count my blessings and I'm happy.

Good luck and let us know how things go.

I had a lot of trouble with stress incontinence when I was 348 lbs and I've never had a baby. Now I'm down to 180 and no more problems with it. Also, my periods have become a lot less painful and are shorter. Think of all the visceral fat you have pressing down on your uterus and bladder. The visceral fat tends to go first, so you will likely get relief soon.

Mine seems to already have lessened quite a bit, with only 30-ish lbs gone. I'm hoping it goes away completely as well.

Mine stopped almost immediately because I was able to come off the diuretic I took for BP within a week or so.

No, it didn't improve...it totally disappeared. I don't have to even think about clenching when I sneeze. That NSV ranked right up there with putting diabetes in remission.
