Good questions... :)

I've always worn a ton of makeup and still do.

I'm not much of a fashion icon, ok, not at all...but I love being able to shop online. I would never dream of ordering jeans or fitted clothes online when I was MO. I also love the money I save. Stylish, plus size clothes are SO expensive. Now I can go to the sale rack of a store and buy cheap clothing that I actually enjoy wearing.

I really don't wear stuff now that I didn't before. I never wore low cut shirts or short skirts, but every once in a while, I enjoy getting my skank on when I go out with the bf.

OK, Ms. Skank, that made me grin for a very long minute.

Oh, I'm not at goal yet, but I'm close enough to have started finding my way again in the style arena... I've always been a make up girl on the weekdays, and depending on what's going on, and how much sun I've had, dictates how much make up I put on for more casual things... I can hit the grocery store with no make up on, but usually I throw something on, even just mascara.

On the clothing front, I'm surprising myself... I'm running the spectrum with fashion styles in my closet presently... I quit wearing dresses because the rub between my legs drove me BATTY... so it was capris or jeans for me. I've started picking up shorts and dresses again, and having fun with that (waiting on the weather to wear most of it though). I like nicely fitted skinny jeans, with a more fitted shirt than I ever dared wear SMO, leggings and tunics are a fav (and really comfy)... but I hit it out of the park with color nowadays! I actually have to make myself pick up some basic stuff, because, people are supposed to have basic boring things too, aren't they?

I'm trying to learn what I love so that when I start spending more $$ on clothing after goal, I can pick ONLY things I LOVE and ADORE... I don't want things in my closet that are there simply because they fit... I lived that for far too long.

Amen!

You're more adventurous with color than I have been. I realized recently I didn't have a single red thing to wear.

Not really. I've always loved comfy clothes.

Although mentally I think it has changed. I used to wear huge and baggy clothes to hide the fat, and now I just love the way my clothes look and swing, fall off my shoulders... Etc. when walking past a store window and I see my reflection. Not sure if that makes sense. ^^

Sai! I keep forgetting how much you've lost! And your affection for loose clothes reminds me of how much I still love stroking my clavicles; I love feeling the hollows there.

When I was about 10 my dad made me start wearing flannel shirts. I hated the way they felt so I wore a t shirt under them. As soon as I moved out I tossed the flannels and went to a t shirt with a button up over it that was usually a solid color. I also wore jeans. You would never catch me out in just a t shirt and shorts. If it was super hot I would do a t shirt and jeans.

Now I will wear a sweater, still solid colors. I wear slim fit wranglers. I'm considering wearing shorts in public. I'm looking forward to just wearing a t shirt too!

HFFM -- your weight loss speed knocks me out, but you have the happy young male WLS advantage. :) Congrats. :)

Good luck on making the transition to single layers of clothing. My own affection for layers continues. Part of that is due to my reluctance to regularly bare my upper arms, which are pretty floppy.

I need either to make peace with my arms or to get them clipped. One or the other. (Putting that decision on my to-do list.)

Thanks and thanks! I want to take every advantage of the "honeymoon period" to drop as much weight as possible. I eat regularly but I'm careful to keep my sugars extremely low and my carbs in check. I think that a lot of what has done me good is to eat different foods from day to day. I will admit that I could exercise more but i feel that if it isn't needed then then i will save that tool for when it is needed.
